Garage Remodeling Challenge:
Convert and expand an underutilized garage into a family room with plenty of space for family – especially grandkids ! An existing geothermal HVAC system needed to be extended into the new space. The concrete floor needed to be re-poured and structural beams needed to be installed. Then, we needed to make it all match the traditional style and craftsmanship of the original home – like it was there from the beginning.
Solution:
We pushed out the front wall of the garage for more room and add lots of energy efficient windows. We installed hardwood floors to match the house and a tray ceiling to cover the dropped structural beams. Then, we finished it off with a classic set of handcrafted built-in bookcases.
